Sheri Sandstrom
Principal / Grades 6-8 Teacher
Sheri Sandstrom has always been a teacher at heart. As a child, she loved to play “teacher” with her brother and friends. Sheri received her BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1992. From there, she earned an MEd in Reading from Bloomsburg University. Her experience includes public and private school teaching. She is a lifelong learner, who has training in nursing and as a Birth Doula. Sheri has an amazing husband, Derek and two grown sons, Morgan and Carter – all Philadelphia Eagles fans. They enjoy vacationing together in Canada in the summer. One of Sheri‘s favorite aspects of teaching are creating a safe space for students to grow and be themselves. She is delighted to be teaching at Harrisburg Adventist School!

Deborah Wasmer
Grades K-2 Teacher
Deborah Wasmer grew up with the passion of teaching and often “taught“ stuffed animals, foster siblings, neighbors, and sisters in her home state of Colorado. Deborah received her BS in Elementary Education from Walla Walla College in 1981 and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Andrews University in 1990. Her teaching career started in Indiana. She taught and principled 12 years in one room schools in Indiana and Massachusetts. She has spent all of her career in multi grade classrooms and loves the value of multi grade environments. She has been married to Paul for 42 blessed years and together they have one adult son. They enjoy traveling and ministering together. Her person mission statement is “Create an environment of love, acceptance, and encouragement.” Her daily goal is for her students to see Jesus and know Him as their personal Savior. She is delighted to be teaching at Harrisburg Adventist School!

Isaura Molina-Calvo
Grades 3-5 Teacher
When Isaura Molina-Calvo was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, her answer was: “a teacher and a mom”. Having the opportunity to attend LaGuardia High School of Music and Art & Performing Arts, She went on to earn her BA degree in Music in 2009, Masters in Music Education in 2010, and a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2021 in her home state of NY. She served in NYC’s public school system for close to ten years, homeschooled for all subjects during the pandemic and is now serving as the long term substitute Teacher for our 3rd-5th grade classroom. She is a mom to one current student at HAS and by faith another two future students. She strongly believes in the benefits of multi-grade classrooms and is excited to be chosen to lend a hand this year. Her husband Hugo, children Isabella, Benjamin and Jacob all share in her enthusiasm! Her favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
